It has been two weeks since I returned from my first international medical mission trip as a pediatrician, and I am still in awe of what God has done through His team of faithful servants — physicians, dentists, PAs, NPs, RNs, pharmacists, students, teenagers, helpers, and volunteers — in El Salvador. It was amazing to be a part of this wonderful team working alongside with God! In just 4.5 days of clinic, we had the privilege of serving 1,925 patients, and 52 of them accepted the Lord as their Savior. I was blessed to pray with each family I saw and share the gospel with every nonbeliever I encountered.
Throughout the trip, I experienced God’s presence in ways that words cannot fully capture. The power of prayer was evident as He answered my prayers instantly, healing my physical pain and lifting the burdens I carried. God revealed to me that He is both the healer and the provider, reminding me that I need not be anxious or worried. As it is written in Deuteronomy 31:8: "The LORD Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."
God’s faithfulness has overcome my fears and anxieties, and His peace has filled my heart.
It was truly a blessing to experience firsthand a nine-day journey filled with God's presence and His abundant blessings. As God has promised when He called me to go on this trip “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Matthew 6:33.
For from him and through him and for him are all things.
