Moldova is an incredible mission opportunity as the team works closely with Richard and Jennifer to empower and encourage the local pastor or church planter. We will serve in 2 to 3 small villages as determined by Richard. These villages will typically have a population of only 2000 to less than 10,000 people and are very poor, rural farming communities nestled in the gorgeous and fertile hills which characterizes Moldova!
There are two unique aspects of this mission that make it very special. Due to the isolation of these villages, we will actually live in the homes of some of the villagers for the 3 days or so that we remain in each village. Often, the hosts are not Christians and this makes for a wonderful opportunity to witness God’s love to them! This also provides an incredible opportunity to experience the culture of Moldova up close and personal! There usually is no running water and electricity may be hit or miss. Very primitive outhouses predominate adding a special touch to the entire mission. The host families are gracious and loving and the host churches provide wonderful Moldovan food! In addition, each team member will have a translator assigned to them and they stay together 24/7 which provides a unique opportunity to bond closely with them individually and as a team. The translators participate in every team activity to include meals, devotions and praise and worship! Some of my richest mission memories have resulted from this special closeness. These translators are awesome young Moldovan people, usually university students or recent graduates with a love for their country and people. Most but not all are Christians. I can promise that you will grow to love them dearly!

Prerequisites
- Important Note! The expiration date on your valid passport MUST be 6 months beyond the return date of your trip. It may take 3 to 6 months to receive a passport from your local passport office; therefore, you may consider obtaining your passport via g3visas at www.g3visas.com.
- Some foreign language skill is greatly appreciated
- Vaccinations
Responsibilities
- Attending morning and evening team meetings, including devotions
- Serving in the capacity of position on team and/or at direction of the team leader
Restrictions
- College students are welcome
- Most team members must have some medical experience but there are opportunities for some people with no experience
