Join us for an Ecuadorian adventure in the beautiful southern mountains of Ecuador! GHO trips to Ecuador are held in many different parts of the country, usually teaming up with one of our local Verbo church plants. This team will arrive in Guayaquil, spend the night, and then travel east ( about 3 hr drive or 200 km) the next day to a small town called Azogues, which has a population of around 34,000. The economy is based mainly on commerce. Azogues is known for its Panama hat industry. The elevation is about 8,200 feet.

The Verbo church in Cuenca sent a team to start this church in September of 2007. They now have around 100 members, and have several doctors and medical people attending. They hope to be able to open a clinic to serve the needs of the poor one day, similar to the clinic we have in Cuenca. We will be working with the local pastors, Boris Ordóñez and Paul Hermoza.
