Come and join us for this rewarding and delightful outreach in the capital city of San Salvador.  We will be hosted by the mayor’s office of the city, which is asking us to set up our clinic in one of the downtown municipal buildings. They will bus patients to us from the needy areas of the city.

The CMDA El Salvador doctors (a group of over 100) are offering to send a couple of doctors to support us along with medical students that are involved in the CMDA local chapter . Joni and Friends ministry may also help us use the clinic as a means of reaching needy folks for wheelchair distribution.

We are blessed to have Pastor Rene Mejia, his wife, Elida, and elder Nery Morataya serve as our local arrangements gurus. We will worship with the church on Sunday in a rousing and challenging service you don't want to miss.

One of the pleasures of serving this week is that the 10th graders from the Oasis School will serve as our interpreters. They are a delightful group of Christian young men and women who possess superior English skills.

We need physicians, PAs, NPs, dermatologists, optometrists, dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, nurses, pharmacists, physical therapists, and other servants. We also need logistics personnel (Servants), who are non-medical people serving in a variety of roles such as children’s ministry, pharmacy helper, clinic runner, and glasses distribution. Finally, we are seeking a videographer/photographer for the trip.

Families of medical personnel are welcome, as are students 15 years of age or older. (The exception would be the children of a provider.)

Altogether, we hope to have a team of 25-35 people. While we gladly treat physical needs, the ultimate goal of the outreach is evangelistic, so we seek to share the Good News of the Gospel with all patients and local churches will begin the discipleship process with those who receive it.

This ministry follows the command of Jesus in Luke 9:2, "and He sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.”  This ministry will be rewarding for you and great for the people of San Salvador.  As the Apostle Peter says, "Use whatever gift you have to serve others” (1 Peter 4:10).
