We welcome physicians, dentists, pharmacists, dermatologists, optometrists, ophthalmologists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, first responders, dental hygienists, dental assistants, physical/occupational therapists, students, servants (non-medical helpers), and a trip photographer/videographer on all of our general medicine and dentistry trips.
Our national hosts minister to refugees who have fled their home countries due to war and persecution. Many refugee are Christians and fled because they were targeted because of their faith. Other refugees are members of a sect of their religion that was targeted. This persecution has opened a door of opportunity for sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with people who have faced a crisis of conviction about what they have believed and put their faith. The team needs physicians, dentists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, dental assistants, a dental hygienist, physical therapists, and non-medical team members to run the reading glasses clinic.
The team will be housed in guesthouses and small hotels, and the national team will provide translators. The trip will be demanding physically, professionally, and spiritually, but will be a great opportunity to demonstrate the love of God, while growing more into the likeness of our Savior. Trip participants will need to have the utmost flexibility and patience as we work in this challenging setting. This is not a “voluntourism” trip, though you will learn much about the language, culture, cuisine, and hospitality of the nationals, and you will have a short opportunity to pick up a few mementos of your service. Expect to care for many lost people in the name of God!

- Foreign language skills are appreciated, but not required.
