Moldova is an incredible mission opportunity as the team works closely with Jeff and Robin to empower and encourage the local pastor or church planter. We will serve in two to three small villages as determined by Jeff. These villages will typically have a population of only 2,000 to less than 10,000 people, and they are very poor, rural farming communities nestled in the gorgeous and fertile hills which characterizes Moldova.

There are two unique aspects of this mission that make it very special. Due to the isolation of these villages, we will actually live in the homes of some of the villagers for the three days or so that we remain in each village. Often, the hosts are not Christians and this makes for a wonderful opportunity to witness God’s love to them! This also provides an incredible opportunity to experience the culture of Moldova up close and personal. There is usually no running water and electricity may be hit or miss. Very primitive outhouses are predominate, adding a special touch to the entire mission. The host families are gracious and loving and the host churches provide wonderful Moldovan food!

The clinic is held in the village wherever it can best be accommodated be it a schoolhouse, church or civic building. The medical needs are great as there is very little if any medical care available in these isolated towns. Dental care in particular is in desperate need! On an average day we will see 300 to 350 patients.

The people of Moldova, especially the young people, are hungry for the Good News of Jesus Christ.
