My name is Jessica.  I have been married for nineteen years.  My husband, Joe, will also be going on this trip.  We have no children but love spoiling our nieces and nephews.  I have been a nurse for fourteen years, with the last eight years in an Intensive Care Unit at a small community hospital.  Prior to that, I spent more than two years with Mercy Ships, serving on board a hospital ship in Madagascar and Benin.  I have a passion for traveling internationally, especially when I can use my knowledge and faith to help people, so after an eight year hiatus, I returned to serving internationally.  Last year, I joined the GHO Middle East trip.  I saw this community caring for its own as well as embracing the refugees who fled their homelands and settled in their neighborhood.  I experienced the generosity and hospitality of this community, and I look forward to returning and supporting them once again.
