URGENT NEEDS: Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Dentists, Dental Hygienists, Dental Assistants, Nurses, Physical Therapists, Students & Logistics (non-medical helpers)
Are you ready for a medical adventure with a distinctly Christian twist? Come join the 2015 GHO team to this East African country.
The team will provide medical and dental care as a draw for people to hear the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. During our time in the country, we will see upwards of 2000 patients. What a joy to be able to offer them not only needed medical and dental care but introduce them to the Great Physician who can impact their lives for eternity!
The first week we will minister in a cosmopolitan town which is about a 3 hour drive from the capital city. The team will be lodged in a hotel and the clinic will be set up in a community center nearby.
The weekend in between clinic weeks will be spent on a safari in the Masai Mara, which offers an amazing chance to refresh and enjoy the glories of God's creation.
Our second week of ministry will be in the slum on the outskirts of the capital. We will be located in a school run by our national partner. The students will be on break and we will utilize their classrooms as our treatment areas. During our second week we will be staying in the Presbyterian Guest House located in the heart of the city. Our breakfast and dinner will be provided at the guest house. From a previous visit I can personally attest to the wonderful cuisine served up at the guest house. If you are not careful you will return from this mission trip having gained a few pounds.
