Positions Needed: Primary Medicine & Dentistry, Pharmacy, Physcial Therapists, Nurses, Logistics (non-medical helpers), 1 - 2 Pastors
This outreach is for you if you desire to minister to huge crowds of rural African peoples who are experiencing poverty and lack of basic medical care and also partner with a simply amazing group of Ghanaian leaders who will inspire you by their Christian lives. The work can challenge your medical abilities and heighten the need to rely upon God.
Dentistry will be practiced with only the basics, as we have no electricity where we work. Come join us - we have enough work for 3 dentists and can use some dental hygienists.
Each year we go to different villages for our work. At one of these we also participate in a huge Sunday Church Rally that will draw in about 1000 people. The team joins actively in the dancing and singing that goes on for over four hours. This is not to be missed. God is at work in this praising.
The Cisneros Resort in Sogakope will again be our hotel during the clinics. It is situated on the Volta River and provides a wonderful retreat for us after hard days of service. We have pastor Francis who serves as our chef and provides good, safe and abundant food. Don't plan on losing weight!
Personal health preparations are discussed on the CDC.gov. Just follow the cues for Ghana. Yellow Fever certificate is essential as are malaria prophylaxis medicines such as Doxycycline or Malarone.
This is a general medical and dental clinic. Any medical and dental specialists will find that they can serve the people here. We need nurses, PA's, NP's, pharmacists, physical therapists, etc. And of course LOGISTICS - non-medical people typically comprise half of our team and have a busy and rewarding ministry.
Pray and consider joining us in this campaign of obedience to our Lord's teaching. This will be the eleventh time Marilyn and I have served in Ghana.
