Come join us on an Ecuadorian adventure! Spend a week with us as we minister to the health and spiritual needs of the wonderful people of Ecuador. GHO trips to Ecuador are held in many different parts of the country, usually teaming up with one of our local Verbo Church plants.
This GHO-Ecuador trip will start out in the capital of Quito and bus down the middle of the Andes mountains to the heart of the country, Riobamba. From there we’ll travel each day to a village of the indigenous local Quechua people, called Calshi, located on the slopes of the highest mountain in Ecuador, Chimborazo. We’ll serve in one of 5 indigenous Verbo churches in the province. You’ll fall in love with the kind hearted local brothers and sisters who are ministering there!
Our National Partners: Marilyn Guido, RN and Tammy Vintimilla are based in Cuenca, and have been hosting short-term medical teams together since 2001, working primarily with GHO. They work under the umbrella of their non-profit organization, the Family Health Foundation or Fundacion Hogar del Ecuador, which was founded in 1988.

We can promise you a time of challenge and growing closer to the Lord as you move out of your comfort zone to develop a global heart for seeing people won to Christ, and support the efforts of local pastors who are ministering to the whole person- addressing the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of their people.
That being said, we make every effort to provide for your safety and well-being. You’ll make friends that you’ll remember for the rest of your life. This is a great place to get your feet wet in short term missions, and who knows, you may hear God’s call to become full time in His service … it has happened before! We challenge you to come and be open to hearing God’s voice – away from the rumble of your daily lives, serving a people whose needs are great.”

Prerequisites
- Important Note! The expiration date on your valid passport MUST be 6 months beyond the return date of your trip. It may take 3 to 6 months to receive a passport from your local passport office; therefore, you may consider obtaining your passport via g3visas at www.g3visas.com.
- Some foreign language skill is greatly appreciated
- Vaccinations
Responsibilities
- Attending morning and evening team meetings, including devotions
- Serving in the capacity of position on team and/or at direction of the team leader
