Ecuador, Mar 13 - 21, 2027, Family/Student Friendly, w/Ron Brown, SR1763
We welcome physicians, dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, dental and medical students, pharmacists, dermatologists, optometrists, ophthalmologists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, first responders, physical/occupational therapists, servants (non-medical helpers), and a trip photographer/videographer on all of our general medicine and dentistry trips.
We will fly to Guayaquil and then bus over the peak of the Andes Mountains (Cajas National Park is 13,550 feet) to Cuenca and then on to Cañar, elevation of 10,272 feet. We held a clinic there about 6 years ago, in 2019, as the next year, Covid hit, and we had to cancel our 2020 and 2021 teams. This town is heavily populated with Cañari who speak Kichwa/ Quichua. Our national partners, Marilyn Guido and Tammy Vintimilla, will team up with their colleagues from the Cañar Arco church to host our team. They are very experienced and will also be responsible for the counseling and evangelism of the patients before they begin the triage lines. Our team will be encouraged, as always, to minister to each patient in prayer, asking how best to intercede for their patient. GHO has been partnering with John and Marilyn Guido for over 30 years, even before GHO was established, through their involvement with CMDA. I had the joy of leading my first GHO team to Ecuador in November of 1999.
Dr. Charles Bruerd will serve as our Medical Director. We are trusting God to bring us the team of His choosing and plan to have a cohort of 40.
