East Africa February 12 - 27/2016, SR1237
TRIP IS CLOSED
Join us as we serve the needy in and around a rural town in this East Africa country. Our Global Health Outreach team will partner with our long-term partners to reach into needy communities, providing them with physical, emotional and spiritual care. We will be providing primary care medicine and dentistry, plus a reading glass clinic.
We are looking for physicians, dentists, nurses, pastors, physician assistants, pharmacists, nurse practitioners and physical therapists to join our team, as well as several people (medical training not required!) to run the reading glass clinic and help in the pharmacy, triage and dental clinic. This is an excellent two-week Global Health rotation for students of all backgrounds, including healthcare students and undergraduate college students. It is also an excellent opportunity for spouses to serve!
"This trip (to a neighboring country) has further fueled my fire to serve as a medical missionary and gave me insight into how impactful short term missions can be. I learned so much on this trip about being a servant leader as a physician." (Medical student)
"This is my second year going to a (a neighboring country), and I believe the trip has helped me prevent professional burnout at home. Last year I was really struggling with burnout from my practice at home and I came back home a much better doctor. I believe that I have witnessed more miracles during my two trips than any other time in my life!" (Physician)
