Family and Student-FriendlyTrip
This team is looking for physicians, dentists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dermatologists, optometrists or ophthalmologists, dental hygienists or dental assistants, pharmacists, nurses, physical or occupational therapists, EMTs or paramedics, and non-medical staff.
This trip will be serving along the Guatemala coast near Puerto Barrios. We will fly into San Pedro Sula and drive from there to Guatemala. From Puerto Barrios, we will take a boat to where we will be staying for the week. We will visit different villages by boat mostly. This is reaching an area with little access to healthcare. We may encounter different people groups, including Garifuna, an Afro-descendant community, and Ladino, a mixed indigenous population. We will be caring for the poor and needy along the coast of Guatemala and enjoying the beauty of our surroundings. There will be opportunities to swim in Amatique Bay. Our team will enjoy a special closeness as we gather for our twice-daily praise and worship, devotions, and testimonies, and enjoy the coastal breezes as we share our God sightings each day.
Would you prayerfully consider joining us on this mission to a beautiful, tropical setting to reach out to the indigenous populations of Guatemala’s coast?
