Family and Student-Friendly Trip
We welcome physicians, dentists, pharmacists, dermatologists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, EMTs and first responders, physical/occupational therapists, and servants (non-medical helpers).
This trip will be serving in a small, antiquated community health center in an area of Liberia with three nearby villages we will be ministering to. We will be traveling into the heart of Liberia from the Ivory Coast of Africa. This will be the Africa of many years ago. Liberia was once a thriving country, but went through 2 civil wars with the most recent one 1999-2003. During this time, there were widespread and systematic atrocities committed. This country has still yet to recover from these conflicts and suffer poverty and poor access to health care. We will be serving villages that still hold to their rich traditions and way of life.
Are you interested in joining a mission team that is going to administer much-needed healthcare and education while offering a glimpse of the love of Christ for these people? We will be doing a public health training in addition to our clinic, as well as a children’s bible program. We will need lots of extra help to accomplish what the Lord is leading us to do. Prerequisites
- IMPORTANT! The expiration date on your passport MUST be at least 6 months past the return date of your trip. Processing times for new passports and passport renewals is 3 - 4 months so be sure to start the process immediately after you have been approved for the trip if your passport expiration date does not meet the requirement.
- Foreign language skills are appreciated but not required
Responsibilities
- Attending morning and evening team meetings, including devotions
- Serving in the capacity of position on team and/or at direction of the team leader
