Santa Ana, El Salvador, Jun 4 - 12, 2022, w/Dr. Hannah Chow-Johnson, SR1561
NOTE: GHO has a COVID plan to do our best to keep trip participants and our patients safe and healthy. We are watching country requirements closely. It is possible this mission will cancel in which case your application and funds will be moved to a future mission of your choice.
*Currently CDC has lifted guidelines and no longer recommend a quarantine upon return to the U.S. if you have been vaccinated for COVID-19. We do however recommend you check with your employer or hospital for their requirements before committing to the mission.
All team members must be Covid-19 vaccinated to attend this mission trip. This includes ages 16 and up, with younger team members not allowed to attend at this time. All Covid-19 restrictions will be lifted as soon as safely possible.
*Special Travel Note: Due to COVID-19 restrictions and regulations, no deviations from the trip dates will be allowed.
Please join us on a family-friendly missions trip in Santa Ana, El Salvador from June 4-12, 2022. We will serve with Pastor Mauricio and the Iglesia Oasis de Gracia as our in-country church partners.
The Lord will provide the team that He wishes to serve in His name; I am always humbled at His provision. We are looking for all types of providers (physicians, NPs, PAs, dentists, optometrists, therapists, etc.), nurses, CMAs, and professional students as well as non-medical team members. Children should be 15 and above and will need an accompanying adult; the exceptions are children of providers. All should be able to serve independently. All members should be vaccinated against COVID-19, and at this point, a negative test is required for entering and exiting the country.
Speaking Spanish is not a requirement of this trip, but any Spanish skills are useful.
The outreach is evangelistic, so we desire to share the Good News of the Gospel with all patients. This ministry follows Jesus’ command in Luke 9:2:”…and He sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.” This ministry will be rewarding for you and for the people of El Salvador. As the Apostle Peter says, "Use whatever gift you have to serve others” (1 Peter 4:10).
If the Lord is asking you to serve on this trip, or if you have questions, then email the team leader, Hannah Chow-Johnson, MD at [email protected]
