Dr. Frank asked me to lead the children's ministry in The Gambia. As he asked me my first thought was NO but, I remembered that on a previous trip there I told him I would do whatever he needed to be done. So I said yes. I am definitely a follower and not a leader.
I spend hours trying to figure out what I would do with the children. I was not sure if I would have them for 15 minutes or 4 hours. So I thought I would do the Armour of God and the Fruit of the Spirit. I was thinking it would be longer than 30 minutes (the average time I had with the kids.) One of the team members brought two flannel board sets and they were perfect for our situation. We used it for the birth of Jesus, we talked about his calling of disciples and of course the betrayal and his death and resurrections.
