Future Generations

This was my first overseas mission trip in many years. It was exciting to use the gifts and talents God has given me to serve others! The clinic set-up was slick, with each physician having a curtained cubicle for an exam room. The medical care we provided was not dramatic, but hosting the clinic drew many patients who were able to hear the gospel. What I appreciate about GHO is their partnerships with local churches. The host church makes the logistics arrangements and works with the medical team all week. The Oasis de Gracia church provided follow up care for every patient who came to the clinic.

We had many students on this trip, and I enjoyed working with them. It is fun to see their excitement seeing and doing things for the first time. This future generation of Christian physicians got a great head start in serving!

The dental team did amazing work in a confined space. Patients received cleanings, had teeth pulled, and received hygiene education and toothbrushes. The medical students enjoyed working with the kids, applying fluoride, which they thought was like candy!
