Medical, Dental, Human Trafficking Relief, Family and Student Friendly trip
This mission team is looking for pediatricians, special needs physicians, dietitians, physicians, dentists, pharmacists, dermatologists, optometrists, ophthalmologists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, first responders, dental hygienists, dental assistants, physical therapists, occupational therapists, students, servants (non-medical helpers), and a trip photographer/videographer on all of our general medicine and dentistry trips.
This team will serve in Escuintla, Guatemala with a ministry that has been serving in this community that lives on top of or near the municipal landfill. They are looking to help them have a safe place to call home. The foundation of all they do is the gospel of Jesus Christ. They seek to share the gospel as they demonstrate His love for them through the many services offered in His name.
'Land of Hope' serves the community with a soup kitchen, women's and men’s bathhouses, and a multipurpose building they can use as a medical clinic. They have established a sponsorship program for children to attend school. They provide maternal care and a birth center, daycare, and a malnutrition rehabilitation center. They work with many special needs children as well. This team will come alongside this ministry and serve by bringing in a medical and dental mission team.

Prerequisites

- Foreign language skills are appreciated but not required
Responsibilities
- Attending morning and evening team meetings, including devotions
- Serving in the capacity of position on team and/or at direction of the team leader
Preparation
- Read "GHO Participant Manual" located under Forms.
- Begin Fundraising
- Submit all requested documents to GHO right away
