NOTE: GHO has a COVID plan to do our best to keep trip participants and our patients safe and healthy. We are watching country requirements closely. It is possible this mission will cancel in which case your application and funds will be moved to a future mission of your choice.
*Currently CDC has lifted guidelines and no longer recommend a quarantine upon return to the U.S. if you have been vaccinated for COVID-19. We do however recommend you check with your employer or hospital for their requirements before committing to the mission.
All team members must be Covid-19 vaccinated to attend this mission trip. This includes ages 16 and up, with younger team members not allowed to attend at this time. All Covid-19 restrictions will be lifted as soon as safely possible.

Join us to serve the inmates in the Dominican Republic. We will be serving the inmates and sharing with them the good news of the Gospel! Special Note: News from our in-country partner states there is not a single case of COVID-19 in the prisons we will be visiting and only 4 cases in the prisons throughout the country. Good news! GHO will still take PPE and uphold all necessary precautions.
Visiting the prisons and filling the inmates' needs is a unique experience as it allows us to respond to our Lord Jesus call: "...remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison" Heb 13:3.
We will be visiting different prisons inside the city of Santo Domingo and in surrounding towns which distant 17 miles from the city. Our national partner, Iglesia Cristiana Oasis, with whom we have been working since 2003, are very gracious and are willing to look after the details to receive the team and to make sure they feel welcome. Clinic days will begin on Monday the 2nd and continue through Friday the 6th.
We welcome physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, first responders, dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, pharmacists, dermatologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, ophthalmologists, optometrists, healthcare students, a photographer/videographer, and servants (non-medical helpers) on our general medicine and dentistry trips.

- Foreign language skills are appreciated, but not required.
